This mostly undiscovered corner of the Eastern Cape is known as East Griqualand. The Umzimvubu floodplain on the Cedarville flats can be seen in full extent from the tower viewpoint on the farm at an altitude of 1932m. The Drakensberg provides a wide panoramic backdrop to this breathtaking scene of wide open grassland spreading from the mountains to the plains.

Bushmen paintings are found at numerous sandstone overhangs in the area and a visit to the century old beautiful sandstone Trappist Mission of Mariazel at the foot of the ‘Berg is sure the make you marvel. The mission is adjacent to the Ongeluksnek Nature Reserve.

Trout fishing at the mountain lake (30km) or wild mountain streams in the berg (>40km) can also be enjoyed.

Other points of interest include a golf course at Matatiele (30 km), doctor (Kokstad - 50 km), and a local cafe and ATM at Cedarville (7 km).
